Mark Cerny about Gravity Rush: “I wish more people would play it”

In a Game Informer interview late last year, Mark Cerny (Lead System Architect of the PS4 and PS5) was asked which games he would recommend people to get the Platinum trophy for. The first game Mark answered the question with was Gravity Rush Remastered, and he had this to say about it:

People really misunderstand what Gravity Rush is. I wish more people would play it. It’s really wonderful.

It’s a sentiment that many fans no doubt will agree with. Gravity Rush isn’t an easy game to market as its unconventional gameplay mechanics make it difficult to compare to other games. It’s a problem that the likes of The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghost of Tsushima don’t have, as their genre and gameplay are familiar to gamers and easily understood.

At least it’s nice to know that Mark Cerny is a fan of Gravity Rush, and also wished to see more people give it a chance. I’d also like to thank D.Medina for bringing this interview to our attention! Lastly, I’d like to point out that Gravity Rush Remastered is now available at a 50% discount on the PS Store!, in case you haven’t played the game yet!

  1. Props to Cerny, he plays a wide range of games and I like that he brings up Gravity Rush as a game that more people need to play. He knows what’s up.

  2. He should have said it in a video-interview: his calm and agreeable voice would have hypnotized the viewers 🙂
