Over the past weeks, Gravity Rush 2‘s upcoming anniversary on January 18th was overshadowed by the fact that Sony intended to close the game’s online services on the exact same day. Now that Sony thankfully delayed the closure, it’s a good occasion to put the online to use on the game’s first anniversary, as suggested by @BlackMagePY on Twitter.
And what better place to do so than at the very place where Kat got her in-game camera, in front of the gate at the port of Jirga Para Lhao? The idea is to use the in-game camera to take a picture in front of the gate, using any photo items and gestures you’d like to make it stand out! Then, use the in-game “Upload for review” button to send it to other players. If possible, repeat the process a few times. The more photos we upload, the more likely it is others will get to see the “Blue Kats” in their game, allowing them to review your photo. This is a bit of an experiment, but I hope that if enough people upload photos in the same location, players worldwide will see an increase of Blue Kats there. Aside from uploading in-game, you can also upload the photo to social media such as Twitter via the PS4’s capture gallery. In that case, please add the #GravityRush2Anniversary hashtag to your tweet, making it easier to find!
Since Gravity Rush 2 was released in the EU on January 18th, in Japan on January 19th and on January 20th in the UK and North America, it makes sense that we would upload photos throughout January 18 to 20. Even if you haven’t played the game in a while, I hope you’ll consider revisiting Gravity Rush 2 to participate in this small initiative!
