Sony’s highly impressive “Gravity Kat” commercial, which was created by Hakuhodo Inc. and Sony Interactive Entertainment to promote the release of Gravity Rush 2, has won the Gold prize at the 44th annual “One Show” award. The commercial won the award in the category “Moving Image Craft – Direction Single”, which rewards entries that show “exemplary overall artistic vision of commercial spots or branded content”. The “One Show” is an award ceremony sponsored by The One Club for Creativity, a non-profit organization based in New York. Along with “Cannes Lions” and the “Clio Awards”, it is said to be one of the world’s three biggest advertisement awards. In total, 243 Pencils were awarded (70 Gold, 75 Silver and 98 Bronze) to winners from 23 countries. Overall, there were 21,844 entries from 73 countries.
The Gravity Cat commercial has already been watched over 3 million times on YouTube and other media channels. In their blog update, PlayStation Japan also thanked everyone in Japan and overseas who watched the video for helping them win this world-class award.
